My Dad is the guy on the back row second in. He is next to the PTI, the guy in the white trousers and white shirt.He tells me that the picture was taken in Tripoli, Libya in either 1948 or 1949.
It is of his Battalion's boxing team.

My Dad seems to think it was prior to or after a boxing match with Americans. He said the lads at the front in were Sgt. Fenan in the boxing kit. He doesn't remember the CSM'S name or the Major's name, but then its the Commanding Officer Col. Gordon Watson, then Major Berridge and RSM George Howe. The next boxer is SGT Gery Whelan.
