Can you help with the names missing from this photo of 1st IG football
team, possibly 1951 in Tunisia and also confirm names already given.

Hi Ivor,  The Mick on extreme right of front row is Sgt Jimmy Agnew, who was also in the sports team,who regularly beat me in the high hurdles.   I was with the 1st Battalion in Tripoli and we returned home in April 1949.George Howe was R.S.M.and Gordon Watson was C.O. I rejoined the Btn in Hubblerath Germany in November 1951 and "Turk"Rooney was R.S.M. and George Howe was Capt Quartermaster.So my guess is that the photo was taken in Tripoli.  Regards George Murphy (Sgt.)  25/01/03

NOTE: Bill Bourke, who is a regular visitor and contributor to this site, doubts very much that this photograph was taken in Tripoli on account of the foliage in the background which is not typical of the Tripoli he remembers where he played Right Wing for the Micks Soccer team.  
He says :  " We returned from Tripoli in 1949.
The 1st Batn. were in Germany in 1951, in a location near Dusseldorf, so its most likely that this is where the photo was taken. Some of the names ring a vague bell. I was dashing back and forth at this time which could explain why I was not in the photo.
