Gummersbach Officers Mess at Haus Waldfried 1945

This photograph was sent to me by Jurgen Woelke, a current resident of Gummersbach, whose family own the house in Kaiser Strasse which the Irish Guards used as the Battalion Library.
Jurgen who is currently writing a history of Gummersbach during the British occupation will be interested to know that I am now able to able to name the Officers in the group.

I am very grateful to Mrs Jean Mohide who has provided the following  names taken from
a photo album belonging to her husband  *Captain Thomas P Mohide

who was serving with the 2nd Battalion when the photo was taken.
