Hi Ivor,
I hope you can help me.
I play pipes in a band in Toronto, Canada, and we are trying to find the sheet music to the tune played by the Irish Guards pipe band at the Queen Mum's Funeral.  We think it is called "Oft on a stilly night". My band would dearly love to have this in our repertoire. It was beautiful, and after the service we all wanted to play it at our performances.  I hope you can help me in trying to find this piece of music, or point me in the direction where I may find it .
Thank you for your time,
John Cole.
Since then I contacted  L/Sgt. J.R.Hooper, Secretary of the Irish Guards Band who very kindly, and very quickly, provided a version of  "Oft in the Stilly Night" arranged by their Director of Music, Major A.R.Chatburn, which I passed on to a very grateful John Cole.  He sent me these photographs of his band and the URL of their Website, where you will find lots more pictures which you can enlarge.  If you like Pipe Bands, it's well worth a visit.
