John Patrick Kenneally VC

The late John Patrick Kenneally (1921-2000) won his VC while a Lance-Corporal in the
1st Battalion Irish Guards during the penultimate phase of the Tunisian campaign in April 1943.
After the award of his VC, presented by General Alexander, Kenneally received thousands of letters from all over the world, and in 1945 was praised by Churchill himself.

The photographs on this page were sent to me by John's son Shane, with the comment,
"What an interesting website you have. Many thanks for keeping the memories alive".

My personal thanks to Shane Kenneally for sending these pictures from his Father's album and helping me to 'keep the memories alive'. Without the generous contributions from Micks, and their families, this website would not exist.
