will be for all the past and present members of the Brigade of Guards and the
odd Ghurkha or two. The aim of this website is to share memories both good and

The medal up-date
Last year it was reported in the national press that " Thousands of British troops who served in the Canal Zone will finally be honoured the Government announced today" The Queen has now given Royal assent to the issuing of a General Service Medal with a special clasp for veterans who served in Egypt from 1951 - 54.
